Precision work demands more than inspection — it takes a culture built around getting it right. That's what aerospace and defense customers have counted on from Mech-Tronics since 1948.
When confronted with new quality requirements and challenges, the Mech-Tronics team embraces them for the purpose of continuous improvement. Our goal is to improve with each customer engagement, then apply those improvements and knowledge gained to future projects across our entire customer base.
Our Quality Clinic is a data-driven program that identifies where the next improvement project will be. If an aspect of a project is non-conforming, we track it by process center, and every internal and external escape is charted and reviewed by our quality team. The team analyzes that data to find the most significant recurring issues, then leads a focused improvement effort using proven Six Sigma methods — tracking results over time to make sure the fix holds.
The Quality Clinic drives Relentless Root Cause Analysis for non-conformances using the eight disciplines (8D) model to identify, correct, and eliminate problems — with tools such as 5 Whys and the Fishbone (Cause & Effect) Diagram. Identifying root causes and applying mistake-proofing techniques (Poka-Yoke) is the key to preventing recurrence.
Mech-Tronics has achieved certification in some of the most stringent quality standards in the industry, including AS9100:2016 Rev. D, ISO 9001:2015, and Nadcap accreditations for Heat Treating (including Aluminum Dip Brazing), Chemical Processing (Chemical Film and Paint), and Welding (Resistance Spot Welding and Fusion Welding).
